TNS - Discovery certificate for object 2022eqj TNS Astronomical Transient Report No. 140016 Date Received (UTC): 2022-03-10 19:15:27 IAU Designation: AT 2022eqj Discoverer internal name: OMB-PNV16 Coordinates (J2000): RA = 00:43:04.060 (10.766917) DEC = +41:17:08.00 (41.285556) Discovery date: 2022-03-10 18:07:26.000 (JD=2459649.255162) Potential host galaxy: M31 Remarks: F.Castellani, R.Belligoli, V.Andreoli, C.Marangoni, OMB extragalactic nova monitoring with ISSP collaboration, reports the discovery of a probable nova in M31. The coordinates of the new transient are only 0.5 arc/sec from Nova Bryan 1990A/M31N2007-07a The transient designated also PNV J00430406+4117080 Remarks: New transient was clearly detected on '2022-03-10.7550' UT using 16 x 300s frames (4800s total) obtained by a Moravian G4-9000 KAF unfiltered CCD with the 0.4m f.8 Ritchey-Chrétien telescope from Monte Baldo "A.Gelodi" Astronomic Observatory, località Novezzina, Ferrara di Monte Baldo, Verona, Italy. The discovery magnitude is 16.5±0.5 mag in the CV band (clear visual). We will continue to monitor the nova light curve and strongly encourage additional follow-up observations. Remarks: Last non-detected image on '2022-03-09 18:38:42' UT using 16x 300s frames (4800s total) was obtained by a Moravian G4-9000 KAF unfiltered CCD with the 0.4m f.8 Ritchey-Chrétien CBAT - PNV J00430406+4117080 PNV J00430406+4117080 2022 03 10.7550* 00 43 04.06 +41 17 08.0 16.5 U 225E 62N M31 9 0 FOLLOW UP
